I’m Looking At Myself: “30 Day Challenge- “Quietly Thinking”

Lately, I have been researching myself. You know looking in the mirror and trying to improve what I see. While doing that I noticed that I always, always, always have something to say. I always need to have the last word. Always got to prove my point, and now that I’ve made it to the “Quarter Life,” I’m a little tired of responding to everything and everybody that gets on my nerves.

With that being said, I’m challenging myself to not express every single opinion/emotion that I’m thinking or feeling. I’m learning that you can still be opinionated without having an opinion about every single thing. To be honest, some things do not require a response regardless of how you may feel. So, I am starting a 30-day challenge: “Quietly Thinking.” 

For 30 days, I’m challenging myself to be quiet and only speak when it’s necessary. What this means is that I can still have an opinion, but I don’t have to let the whole world know how I feel. Generally, when a person responds that means he/she cares, and although some things are important many things are not. I feel that determining what I can and cannot say will teach me what is important and what’s not, and it will also teach me how to control my emotions. I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of every little thing bothering me, and people saying one thing to mess up my whole day.  I will no longer give people that much power to change my moods. I will let you know how this works out- wish me luck!
